Crusher Operators

Crusher Operators Who Understand the Process.

A crusher operator does more than run controls. The role sits at the centre of feed, reduction, screening, material flow and communication with the rest of the spread.

ROC focuses on relevant crushing experience — the plant stages, equipment and operating environments behind the job title.

  • How was the plant fed?
  • What supporting equipment did you coordinate with?
  • What were your start-up / shutdown responsibilities?
  • What adjustments were you authorized to make?
  • What did you monitor during normal production?
  • What did you do when material flow changed?

Hiring a Crusher Operator? Describe the Gap.

A general operator description may not answer the questions that matter to the site. Is the assignment covering an absence, a temporary project, a second shift or an existing role that calls for particular equipment experience? What exactly will the person control, and which functions are covered by the rest of the crew?

Start with the plant stage, machine type, assigned duties, crew structure and schedule. Then list the required credentials, orientation and client approval conditions.

Crusher Operator Coverage explains common staffing scenarios. The Employer Hiring Checklist helps prepare a specific brief.
